Behind the conception, cultivation and execution of Sportified is Maggie Ortmeyer. She brings her background of business and marketing together with her husband's experience as a professional athlete to create this congenial approach to sports marketing.
Maggie's career began on the corporate side of the apparel industry, which evolved into a sales and marketing position that catered to a variety of clients in the fashion world. While she worked with companies in Los Angeles to help establish their brand identity, her then-boyfriend (now husband) was making his debut as a professional athlete in New York City, and this bicoastal adventure inherently set the stage for Sportified.
Maggie's professional background combined with her husband's life on the ice as a hockey player provides a unique perspective for companies who wish to enhance their brand through sports. The idea began as a side project, but after an overwhelming response from her clients, his teammates and an array of hockey enthusiasts and marketing gurus, it was clear this needed to be more than a hobby.
So after a slew of cities, teams, brainstorming sessions and slap shots, Sportified came to life.
